Hurry… almost sold out!

Paradoxe 2023 MAGNUM is a natural wine crafted by Sébastien Morin, in the Beaujolais region in France. This red wine is made with Gamay grapes grown on a 70 year old plot of Gamay planted on sandy granit soil.

Here, whole bunches of top quality gamay grapes macerate for 3 months being being very slowly pressed over a 2 day period. It is then aged for 1 year in fibreglass tanks

Structured and complex, also on the nose as expected from Morin, the earthy touches with hints of mushrooms and moss are mild but give something special for those looking in the background. Cassis and blackberries with a soft vegetal touches give edge whilst bitter elements on the tingly tannins make this very good for food, but also this is a great for aging, and whilst this is drinkable now if you age for 3-5 years you will really be rewarded. Very good indeed!

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

NATURAL WINES BY SÉBASTIEN MORIN

Sébastien Morin is very much zero-zero - no added sulfur added whatsoever. He kicked off his winemaking journey under the mentorship of Jura legend Jean-Marc Brignot, adopting a similar approach with long, slow pressing and gravity racking. He works a small 1.5-hectare plot in Saint-Étienne-des-Oullières, Beaujolais, but also buys some negociant grapes to meet the growing demand for his wines. We’re stoked to import his wines directly and will have a little documentary coming soon!
