This wine is made with \u003ca href=\"\/en-ch\/collections\/altesse\"\u003eAltesse\u003c\/a\u003e grapes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLa Grande Journée is Jean-Yves' 100% Altesse, made from some of his older vines planted on schist in Conflans. Altesse is one of the great white grapes of Savoie, and here it gets the full skin-contact treatment.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe Altesse is usually macerated on the skins for around three months with regular pigeage, then aged for a year in old barrels. Native yeasts and no added sulphites, as with everything he makes. It sits at 12% alcohol.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe have not yet tried this wine, but hear this cuvée usually shows minerality and salinity alongside rich, heady fruit, with plenty of texture from the long skin contact.
