Cauzón Blanco

Cauzón Blanco is a natural wine crafted by Cauzón, in the Granada region in Spain. This white wine is made with Macabeu, Viognier, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc grapes.

Production details of Cauzón Blanco: Cauzón Blanco is made by Ramon Saavedra at Bodega Cauzón in Cortes y Graena, in the Granada DOP of Andalusia. The vineyards sit on the northern side of the Sierra Nevada Mountains between 1080 and 1200 metres, where hot days and cold nights drive concentration and freshness. The blend uses Macabeu, Viognier, Chardonnay and Sauvignon Blanc. The grapes ferment with wild yeasts, are pressed directly in steel and age 6 months in steel. No added sulphur.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Cauzón Blanco by Cauzón, but we hear it has notes of stone fruit, lemon, white flowers and a clean mineral lift from altitude.
