Tosco

Tosco by Humus is a natural wine made in the region of Lisbon, Portugl with 50% Castelão and 50% Touriga Nacional grapes. Expect berry fruit touches /p>

Production details of Tosco: Tosco is made by Rodrigo Filipe at Humus in Encosta da Quinta, Alvorninha, Lisboa, Portugal. The blend is 50% Castelão and 50% Touriga Nacional from 9 hectares farmed using a lunar-calendar approach. The grapes are hand-harvested in small boxes, crushed and de-stemmed, then wild-fermented in small stainless steel tank with 5 days of skin contact. Aged 10 months in stainless steel. No additions, no added sulphur. 12% alcohol.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Tosco by Humus, but we hear it has notes of ripe red fruit, soft berries, juicy fruit and a medium-bodied mellow lift.
