Beaujolais Villages Blanc MAGNUM by Chateau de Grand Pré is a white wine, made in Beaujolais with Chardonnay grapes.

Production details of Beaujolais Villages Blanc: Beaujolais Villages Blanc is made by Romain and Alex Zordan at Château de Grand Pré in Fleurie, Beaujolais. Romain took over from his parents in 2012 and the estate has farmed without synthetic chemistry since 2009. The Chardonnay is bought in because Romain doesn't think it works on the local granite, so he sources from limestone soils to the south. Temperature-controlled wild ferment. Bottled in a magnum format.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Beaujolais Villages Blanc by Chateau de Grand Pré, but we hear it has notes of ripe pear, lemon meringue, stone, quince and a creamy almond touch.
