Amateus Bobi 2020 is a natural wine crafted by Bobinet, in the Loire region in France. This red wine is made with Cabernet Franc grapes and is the estate's "historic" vintage.  The grapes are grown on old vines, from 1952, which is based on a clay-limestone plots. Aging takes place for 18 months in their traditional limestone cellar.

Tasting wise we found Amateus Bobi 2020 to have excellent mineralic elements which would work great with food, especially with its slightly green stemmy parts. A very solid wine.

Drink in one swift sitting, as it may become unstable quicker than some other wines

NATURAL WINES BY DOMAINE BOBINET

Sébastien Bobinet and Émeline Calvez have been making wines in Saumur, Loire, since 2002. When Sébastien inherited the vineyards (he is the seventh generation in his family to make wine), they farmed only 1.8 hectares, but now have over 6.5 hectares and farm grapes like Cabernet Franc, Chenin Blanc, Pineau d'Aunis and Gamay,. Eméline now handles the winemaking in their impressive cave cellar, while Sébastien takes care of the vineyards.
Their wines range from fun and easy-drinking, like PIAK and Le Temps Est Bon (perfect for summer), to more complex, age-worthy bottles like Les Gruches and IDA. Whether you’re after something light or a wine to age, they’ve got you covered!
