Sauvigon Blanc Colles 2020

Sauvigon Blanc Colles 2020 is a natural wine crafted by Vino Gross, in the Štajerska region in Slovenia. This white wine is made with Sauvignon Blanc grapes taken from vines up to 35 years old. Here they grow on the characteristic clayey, limestone-marl soils. This hard subsoil requires a lot of hard work: To allow the vines to take root here, 50 cm deep holes are dug with augers, which are then filled with nutrient-rich organic humus. The south-facing Colles parcel is also Vino Gross's steepest terrace. Therefore, the hand-picking process is also a strenuous one. 

After spontaneous fermentation, the Vino Gross Sauvignon Blanc Colles is aged for one year in large used wooden barrels and six months in stainless steel.
