Alberese 2024

Alberese 2024 is a natural wine crafted by Fattoria di Sammontana, in the Tuscany region in Italy. This red wine is made with 75% Sangiovese and 25% Trebbiano grapes, so a red-white blend.

The name Alberese comes from the soil, which is limestone based, farmed near the Chianti hlls. Recommended to drink lightly chilled. Expect lively red fruits and a Tuscan earthness.

About Fattoria di Sammontana

Fattoria di Sammontan a farm working closely with nature, located in Montelupo Fiorentino, along the Arno valley, just 20 Km. from Florence. They tend about 13 hectares of vineyards and more than 3,000 olive trees, planted between 70 and 150 meters above sea level. The soil is alluvial, and as such is full of stones, gravel, and pebbles of various sizes that are technically referred to as “skeletons”.  They say this soil, usually defined as “ungrateful”, is the one that gives character and personality to their wines.
