Àngela Maria 2020

Àngela Maria 2020 is a natural wine crafted by Vinya Ferrer , in the Catalonia region in Spain. This red wine is made with Carignan and Morenillo grapes.

Production details of Àngela Maria: Àngela Maria is made by childhood friends Marcel Carrera and Ramón Viña at Vinya Ferrer in the village of Bot, Terra Alta, Catalonia. They work 3 hectares of dry land in four plots on clay and limestone soils, farming with a lunar-calendar approach. The blend is Carignan with Morenillo (a near-extinct local grape akin to Pinot Noir). Manual harvest, wild ferment, no added sulphur. Only 2,000 bottles per year.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Àngela Maria by Vinya Ferrer, but we hear it has notes of red cherry, blackberry, fine herbal spice and a soft elegant texture.
