The first time we had it, it was like a flinty reduction. The second time, a mildly sulfurous turn, not unpleasant though. So perhaps some bottle variation but one thing that stays consistent with it is the HUGE finish, vibrant complexity and creamyness.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis German wine drinks more like a Styrian Chardonnay in the style of the masters. Expect a flavour profile of bruised apple, nutmeg, vanilla, spice, melon ….and more cream!\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp dir=\"ltr\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIf you are okay with reduction (if not, carafe and shake) we are sure you will agree this is an absolute banger and a winemaker to watch in the future!\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003e\u003cspan style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eOur thoughts to Hannes Bergdoll\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eIn our opinion, Hannes Bergdoll is one of the most underrated, underdiscovered producers in Germany right now. Whilst he is on the cusp of many Somm’s lips, his wines have not really broken through to the masses and as an importer of his wines ourselves, we kinda like being one of the first to know… but we are sure it won’t be so secret for long. All of his wines are remarkable from the entry level Rieslings to the special Chardonnays and Weissburgunders... Even his Sauvignon Blanc impresses beyond others in Germany we have experienced (and this is a grape we find does not shine in the country at all really).  We really do admire his work very much, which is coupled by his very humble attitude and desire to stay out of the limelight, away from hype and noise.
