The addition of white grape Muscat is what helps lift the body of the wine to be more lighter, despite the spicier touches from the Syrah and Grenache which would usually make it quite a medium-heavy wine. Here its very, very drinkable but still has some soul!\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eThis smooth non-vintage, Solera blend has great depth on the finish considering its fresh and youthful mouthfeel. There is a hint of spice going on here, alongside cherry, violets and blackberry. Yield it not that high (like the rest of our plots and gives us only around 18Hl\/ha). After taking the grapes from the land it will undergo a semi carbonic in concrete and stainless steel with a bit direct press gamay. After pressing we put it together in one big fiberglass dome where the wine has still room to dance and finish the fermentation. Then aged for more than 10 months before bottling in the same dome. The exposition is south facing and it’s full of big granite rocks. It’s a terroir specific and every year this parcellaire wine have this Croix Pen(n)et taste which is hard to explain. In 2024 the grapes were harvested at the lieu-dit Le Poyebade. The vineyard lays on the west side of the mountain Brouilly with the height of 370m, which is quite impressive. The lieu-dit Poyebade is in appellation of Cote de Brouilly. Because of the location the vineyard is only having sun during the afternoon, this is why there is such a great mix of ripeness and freshness at the same time. Each variety brings something the others don’t have; the Gamay contributes freshness and a lively juiciness; the Grenache brings warmth and dark fruit; the Jura varieties add a savoury, earthy edge that anchors the whole blend.
