For us, it truly hit home that there was no way any conventional wine could ever taste like this, and so we realised we would only drink natural wine from that day on. Now we have a wine shop, so it worked out well!\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eHow does Marto 'Weiss 2022' taste?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eYear after year, this popular German orange wine simply called Marto Weiss 2022 is \u003cstrong\u003esuper tropical \u003c\/strong\u003ein its incredible flavour profile, which features big notes of pineapple, apricot, lime, mango and passionfruit. This Marto wine made in his base in Flonheim in Rheinhessen is very light usually around 10% alcohol, so ideal for poolside sips in the sun, or lazy park days.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eWhat grapes are in Marto Weiss 2022?\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eMarto Weiss features a big mix of mostly \u003cstrong\u003efruity and aromatic grapes\u003c\/strong\u003e, 35% Scheurebe, 10% Müller Thurgau, 25% \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBacchus, 5% Huxel, 10% Würzer, 10% Riesling \u0026amp; 5% Silvaner\u003c\/span\u003e. This wine is tropical and fruit forward, with an easy going mouthfeel! Its made with some skin-contact and is orange, but with elements of a white wine too.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThis was the first ever Marto wine, and are the grapes he inherited with the winery. As awesome as this fruit forward, glou glou wines is, his newer style which will soon be revealed is much more of an elegant style, with longer elevage times and precision in the vinification and patience to allow the wine to age perfectly before release. Many of the newer wines to come are harvested from newer vineyards, on more impressive Terroir. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eTechnical infomation on Weiss 2022 by Marto\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWeiss is grown on sandstone and limestone in Rheinhessen, on vines aged 30 to 35 years old. The grapes come from different vineyards located at different altitudes. Aging took place without battonage in oak barrels from 1000 to 2400 L. 36000 bottles were made.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003ch2\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eMarto Wines background on Weiss 2022\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/h2\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cem\u003e´We experienced a wonderful spring with a hot dry summer, until mid of September where the weather changed to autumn, and it brought a lot of rain. As a result, there was a switch in the character of the grapes.
