Winemaker Tom Lubbe prefers delicate expressions and we are excited to try this new wine, which we expect to have the characteristics of Syrah (little spicy, peppery and with dark forest fruit touches) but with that typical Matassa edge.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cstrong data-start=\"7833\" data-end=\"7852\"\u003e\u003cspan dir=\"auto\"\u003eThis Syrah was grown a higher altitude than most other Matassa wines, at 500 meters\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan dir=\"auto\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003e \u003c\/span\u003enear the town of Saint-Paul-de-Fenouillet.
