It´s sold in a clay bottle that helps it breathe (and look special!)\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThere are two skin-contact wines from Werlitsch in clay bottles: Glück \u0026amp; Freude.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThe main difference between the two are that Freude is macerated as whole bunches, whilst Glück is destemmed.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eThis is the 2022 vintage, and we have not yet tried it, but we hear it has\u003cstrong\u003e a beautiful complexity marked by a tannic structure, saltiness and minerality. \u003c\/strong\u003eYou might find notes of \u003cstrong\u003equince, ripe pear, mango\u003c\/strong\u003e, and more herbal ones like \u003cstrong\u003ethyme\u003c\/strong\u003e.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cspan\u003eBrigitte and Ewald Tscheppe from Werlitsch, together with Styrian wine producers Taus, Tscheppe, Muster and Strohmeier, belong to the \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e‘Schmecke das Leben’\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan\u003e (‘Taste life’) group. \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\u003cspan\u003eTheir philosophy is about protecting the land, and making authentic and expressive natural wines that stay honest to their roots.
