This red wine is made with \u003ca href=\"\/en-kr\/collections\/grenache\"\u003eGrenache Noir\u003c\/a\u003e, \u003ca href=\"\/en-kr\/collections\/grenache-gris\"\u003eGrenache Gris\u003c\/a\u003e, \u003ca href=\"\/en-kr\/collections\/grenache-blanc\"\u003eGrenache Blanc\u003c\/a\u003e and \u003ca href=\"\/en-kr\/collections\/carignan\"\u003eCarignan\u003c\/a\u003e grapes.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eBruno Duchêne arrived in Banyuls-sur-Mer from the Loire in 2002, having previously dealt in wild mushrooms. His four hectares sit on steep schist slopes at around 300 metres, right above the Mediterranean on the Spanish border, too awkward for any machine, so everything is done by hand or with a horse. The saline, mineral streak people talk about in these wines comes straight off that schist. He makes between 7,000 and 10,000 bottles a year in total.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eLa Luna pulls from several plots of roughly 50 year old vines and is about 90 percent Grenache across the three colours, with Carignan making up the rest. The white Grenaches genuinely go into the red, pressed in alongside it. Whole bunches ferment on indigenous yeast in stainless steel, worked as an infusion rather than pushed for extraction, and the wine then splits its time between old Burgundian oak barrels and steel. \u003cstrong\u003eIt is bottled with no sulphur added.\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eWe have not yet tried this vintage, but hear it is medium bodied and juicy in typical Southern French charm, elegant with a rustic edge, carrying dark fruit, spice, a subtle smokiness and Mediterranean herbs over soft tannins.
