The Pheasants Terar winery is based in the \u003ca href=\"\/en-pl\/collections\/kakheti\"\u003eKakheti\u003c\/a\u003e a region in Eastern \u003ca href=\"\/en-pl\/collections\/georgia\"\u003eGeorgia\u003c\/a\u003e.\u003c\/p\u003e. The winery is perhaps well known partly thanks to American owner John Wurdeman, who visited the region as painter intrigued by the local folk music before developing a love for the local wine and becoming involved with expanding the existing winery after an invitation from a local artisan. All wines are aged in traditional Qvevri amphora, and the most common grapes of the winery include Rkatsiteli, Saperavi and Kisi.
