This is 80% o\u003cspan data-mce-fragment=\"1\"\u003eld vine Grenache 80% and 20% Carignan, known locally as Cariñena.\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eProduction details of Demontre:\u003c\/strong\u003e Demontre is made by Joan Carles Torres and his wife Barbara at Celler La Gutina, set in the wild Aspres de l'Albera natural park in northeast Catalonia, just a few miles from the French border. The blend is 80% old-vine Grenache and 20% Carignan (locally Cariñena), grown on granitic sand and clay between 90 and 100 metres. Some Grenache vines date back to the 1950s when Joan's father replanted his own father's phylloxera-destroyed plot. The grapes are gently crushed and ferment in stainless steel with wild yeasts.
