Note: Photo is not the actual bottle\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eProduction details of Der Bauer:\u003c\/strong\u003e Der Bauer (\"The Farmer\") is Philip Lardot's flagship single-vineyard Riesling from St. Aldegunder Himmelreich in the Mosel. The fruit comes from seven small parcels (400 to 900 square metres each), all ungrafted vines, most planted post-WWII in the 1950s and 60s, with one parcel roughly 100 years old. The site is grey and blue slate with a pure east-facing exposure. The wine ferments in old wood and ages there for an impressive 22 months.
