The blend is 40% Furmint, 40% Sauvignon Blanc and 20% Welschriesling from calcareous marl soils (locally called Opok) at 250 to 390 metres, with vines aged 10 to 65 years. The Grosses farm without synthetic chemistry and use a lunar-calendar approach. The wine spends at least a full year on the full lees in large Austrian foudres (900 to 2800 litres) before bottling. No added sulphur.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Haloze by Vino Gross, but we hear it has notes of yellow apple, citrus zest, fresh herbs and a fine textured mineral finish.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0221/6407/8692/files/Haloze-2020-_-Natural-Wine-by-Vino-Gross..png?v=1746960749
