Susucaru 2019

€32,00 per litre

Susucaru is the entry-level wine from iconic Etna based low-intervention winemaker Frank Cornelissen.

It's mostly a field-blend made in a way that is bright, light and slightly tart with a red cherry, wet stone and earthy tone. Unlike Frank's more tannic, cru wines like Munjebel and Magma, Susucaru has a 'mega-gluggable' profile that's difficult not to love on a summer afternoon.

2019 notes:  Less fruit than the previous vintage and more minerality. Interesting first impression of spice and a touch of leather like you would expect from a “big wine”, but its Susucaru and so kept light, however, its the kind of wine that feels more serious than other recent vintages, which will develop over the next few hours a little more.

Beautiful light expressions of blackberry, liquorice, white pepper, lime, alongside touches of leather & spice.

YES! We can deliver to you!

Our delivery is quite unique, as we work with our partner importers who supply us the wines to ship to you. This allows you to have much more choice than one shop in general, but the only thing we ask in return is a little patience in delivery and the understanding, that their might be the possibility that one of your wines could be unexpectedly out of stock.  and

If ordered by 10am on Tuesday, we pick up the ordered wines on Wednesdays from our partners, and aim to dispatch the same day! If in Germany, you can expect your wines within 2-3 working days of his day. If elsewhere in Europe, expect between 2-6 working days.
The most accessible bottle from iconic winemaker Frank Cornelissen, this lovely light red has the grippy tannins you might expect from his other wines, but they are more tingley and easy-going.  Flavours that you might find are tart cherry, a touch of leather, vanilla and redcurrant which all mingle together beautifully. A highly sought after wine for good reason. (IF OUT OF STOCK IT WILL BE BACK SOON)
