YES! We can deliver to you!
|TIME AND AVAILABILITY||
Our delivery is quite unique, as we work with our partner importers who supply us the wines to ship to you. This allows you to have much more choice than one shop in general, but the only thing we ask in return is a little patience in delivery and the understanding, that their might be the possibility that one of your wines could be unexpectedly out of stock. andIf ordered by 10am on Tuesday, we pick up the ordered wines on Wednesdays from our partners, and aim to dispatch the same day! If in Germany, you can expect your wines within 2-3 working days of his day. If elsewhere in Europe, expect between 2-6 working days.
Jura Box with Book
Price includes taxes, but not delivery
We love Jura! Not only the fantastic wines made out of mainly the five grape varietals Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard, Trousseau and Pinot Noir, but also the people and the land. It truly seems to be a magical place to be and many wines from the region reflect that magic as well.
For this first edition of our Jura Box we are focusing on the white wines from the region and we also went deep into the depths of our stockroom and found a very special box of Macvin from Domaine Labet, which we included in this box as a real treat.
In this box you will also find the book "Jura Wine" by Wink Lorch. Whilst the book doesn't exclusively focus on natural wine, it gives a wonderful general inside to the wine and food of the region.
So, what is in this Jura Box:
A typically beautiful example of a Jura Chardonnay with great energy alongside notes of green apples, salt and a hint of butter and vanilla. The grapes are grown on grey marlstone soil and this wine really shines with Terroir. Grapes: Chardonnay - Alcohol: 13%
A lovely Chardonnay that we strongly recommend giving a decant before drinking as very reductive at first and needs to blow off a little bit. You will be rewarded with a lovely, fresh and slightly buttery, floral chardonnay which is direct in its acidity.
Grapes: Chardonnay - Alcohol: 12.5%
A fantastic oxidative Savagnin ideal for after dinner or a hard-cheese board. We got notes of citrus, oil, ash, petrol, toasted nuts and apple juice. This is a wine to savour, to sit with and contemplate. It will likely keep for a few sittings if stored properly once opened.
Grapes: Savagnin / Alcohol: 13.5%
We really have fallen in love with Cremants from Jura and this one is very good indeed. It's crisp, has notes of apple and is mineral-driven with energetic fizz at first. It's refreshing and slightly nutty on the finish, a perfect start to the night.
Region: Grapes: Chardonnay - Alcohol: 12.5%
Domaine Labet are one of the most in demand producers of the Jura, but this is not a wine but the regional liquor! Wonder what a Macvin is? winegeeks.com describes it the following way: "The juice and must of grapes are reduced in half by boiling, and the resulting liquid is then fortified with brandy. Once the "wine" reaches 16% alcohol by volume it is placed in oak casks to age for six years. There is no fermentation process. The end result is a Vin doux Naturel that is rich and unctuous with a heavy amber color and aromas and flavors of orange zest, quince, prunes and other dried fruits."
Grapes: Chardonnay, Savagnin, Poulsard - Alcohol: 16%
The award-winning book that uncovers the secrets of the fascinating wines of the gorgeous Jura region in eastern France.
