Production details of Das Gehölz: Das Gehölz is made by Eschenhof Holzer in the Wagram region of Austria, run by the Holzer family in the fifth generation. The wine is 100% Roter Veltliner (a white grape despite the name), aged in new oak 500L barrique for a year. 13% alcohol.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Das Gehölz by Eschenhof Holzer, but we hear it has notes of gooseberry, violet, redcurrant, green apple and a creamy cool freshness.
