BFF 2022

BFF 2022 by young producer Joiseph is a natural wine made in Burgenland with Blaufränkisch grapes. Not tried this but hear it is VERY good, and this 2022 vintage is a little sparkling

Production details of BFF: BFF (BlauFränkisch Forever, or Best Friends Forever) is made by Luka Zeichmann, Richard Artner and Xandl Kagl at Joiseph in Jois, Burgenland, Austria. They started in 2015 with a tiny hectare and now work nearly five. The 100% Blaufränkisch comes from their Neuberg vineyard, close to Lake Neusiedl, whose climate-moderating effect is key to the region. The wine is 1/3 whole bunch and 2/3 destemmed, fermented in steel for 10 days with no punchdowns and light infusion. Minimal sulphur at bottling.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of BFF by Joiseph, but we hear it has notes of blood orange, blackcurrant, cherry, fresh green tea leaf and a juicy spicy lift.
