Zweigelt Bambule 2018 by Judith Beck is a natural wine made in Burgenland with Zweigelt grapes. The Bambule range are Judith Beck's most premium plots and feature not added sulphur.

Production details of Zweigelt Bambule: Zweigelt Bambule comes from Judith Beck's Kurzberg vineyard, a half-hectare south-west exposed plot on sandy loam and limestone soils, just west of her Gols winery in Burgenland. The technique is unusual. The tops are removed from 500-litre barrels positioned under the de-stemmer so the grapes fall directly into upright barrels. CO2 is added, the barrels are sealed with plastic sheeting, and 3 weeks of simultaneous alcoholic and carbonic fermentation begins inside the intact berries. The wine is then assembled in tank before bottling.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Zweigelt Bambule by Judith Beck, but we hear it has notes of hearty cherry, earthy spice, dark plum and a fresh powerful finish.
