Morgon 2023

Morgon 2023 by Chateau De Grand Pre is a natural wine made in Beaujolais with Gamay grapes. This wine has a little more tannic grip than their other gamays, and is more suited for aging.

Production details of Morgon: Morgon is made by Romain and Alex Zordan at Château de Grand Pré in Fleurie, Beaujolais. Romain took over from his parents in 2012 and the estate has farmed without synthetic chemistry since 2009. The wine is 100% Gamay from the Morgon cru. Long cool carbonic maceration with whole bunches, then aged in old neutral oak. Made with low sulphur.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Morgon by Chateau de Grand Pré, but we hear it has notes of ripe red cherry, dark plum, fine spice and a structured cru Beaujolais grip.
