Zibibbo 2023

Zibibbo 2023 by Nino Barraco is a natural wine made in the Western part of Sicily next to Marsala. Here aromatic Zibibbo grapes, which are also known as Muscat d'Alexandria or Moscatel in other European countries, give of a large presence alongside a salty aspect with the vines being close to the sea.

Expect big floral elements and extensive aromatics

Production Details: Zibibbo is made from Grillo grapes grown in Marsala's hot, clay-limestone soils. Nino Barraco harvests ripe fruit and ferments with natural yeasts without added sulfites. The wine ages briefly in stainless steel, preserving the freshness and primary aromas of the ripe fruit.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried the 2023 vintage of Zibibbo by Nino Barraco, but we hear it has notes of tropical fruit, stone fruit, white flowers, minerality, and a long, saline finish.
