Pet Nat Purellus Schieferstern 2023 is a natural wine crafted by Rudolf Trossen, in the Mosel region in Germany.

This sparkling Pet Nat wine is made with 100% Riesling grapes, and whilst we have not yet tried it, we hear it's "got a premium, refined mouthfeel alongside fine aromas of yellow apple and peach. The wine bubbles down the throat very lively and delights you with beautiful fruit aromas. Delicate bitter notes round off the picture pleasantly. "

NATURAL WINES BY RUDOLF TROSSEN

Rudolf and Rita Trossen are natural wine pioneers in the Mosel, farming their steep slate slopes naturally long before it was fashionable. Some of their vines are over 100 years old and ungrafted, because phylloxera never reached them. Riesling is the focus, from the Purus range like Madonna and Pyramide to Schieferblume, plus a few pét-nats.
