Salvaje Naturaleza Clarete 2021

Salvaje Naturaleza Clarete 2021 is a natural wine crafted by Azul y Garanza , in the Navarra region in Spain. This red wine is made with Garnacha Blanca and Garnacha Tinta grapes, split equally 50/50.

It spends 14 days on it's skins and is aged in Amphora, but does see a relatively higher dose of added sulphites, so whilst made with low intervention, expect a more classic approach mouthfeel.

Production details of Salvaje Naturaleza Clarete: Salvaje Naturaleza Clarete is made by Azul y Garanza in Navarra, Spain. The blend is 50% Garnacha Blanca and 50% Garnacha Tinta from certified organic vineyards just north of Bardenas Reales. Vines average 40 years old, planted on clay-calcareous soil at 550 metres elevation. Hand-picked and vinified as a red, with 12-14 days of maceration on the skins with wild yeasts in concrete, then 6 months in amphora.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Salvaje Naturaleza Clarete by Azul y Garanza, but we hear it has notes of red fruit, light spice, dried herb and a fresh clay-toned freshness.
