Miega 2023

Miega 2023 is a natural wine crafted by Denavolo, in the Emilia Romagna region in Italy. This orange wine is made with Marsanne grapes, which is a grape usually found in Rhône France, more than Emilia Romagna!

We hear this wine has a long skin contact time, and is aged in stainless steel tanks for freshness

Production details of Miega: Miega comes from Denavolo, the natural wine project of Giulio Armani (who also makes the wines at La Stoppa). The Marsanne grapes grow at around 500m elevation on calcareous soils in the Piacenza Hills of Emilia-Romagna. The wine sees extended skin contact during fermentation, then ages in stainless steel tanks to keep things fresh.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Miega by Denavolo, but we hear it has notes of ripe apricot, wild herbs, almond and yellow plum.
