Cinsault 2022 "Cuvee Speciale" ONE PER ORDER

Cinsault 2022 is a natural wine crafted by Domaine Houillon, in the Rhone region in France. This red wine is made with 100% Cinsault grapes, as the name implies.

We have not yet tried this wine as got very little, so saving it for customers. What we can say is it looks VERY JUICY. The transparent glass is almost stained, so we expect a bit fruity approach!

We read it is from thirty-year-old vines on a 15-acre plot of clay-limestone soil with a touch of sand and based with Southwest exposure. Very low yields of 17 hl/ha. 

100% destemmed, 4 weeks of maceration.

About Domaine Houillon in Rhone

Aurélien Houillon, a native of Jura and another talented relative of Emmanuel Houillon of Maison Pierre Overnoy in Jura has also worked at the estate in addition to other places before settling down in Rhone to work alongside his partner Charlotte. The wines are zero-zero, as expected from the rest of the family legends, and offer a big energy and depth. They farm 2.5 hectares of vines in Faucon, in the Vaucluse, on a total property (and accommodation facilities) of 9 hectares. They farm their vines exclusively by horse too!
