Pet Nat Alcohol Free is a natural wine crafted by Nature's Calling, in Berlin, Germany. This DELICIOUS non alcoholic wine is made with Quince, verjus, linden blossoms, and wild carrot with a kefir base. One of the best non-alcoholic Proxy wines on the shop, we love it!

What is in it?

This is not de-alcoholised wine. It is a sparkling ferment built on a water kefir base, with quince, verjus (the sour juice of unripe grapes), linden blossom and wild carrot, which gives it the tangy, bubbly feel of a pet nat without the alcohol.

What does it taste like?

We have not yet tried this batch of the Pet Nat Alcohol Free by Nature's Calling, but we hear it has notes of quince, blossom and fresh herbs, tangy and slightly nutty, with crisp acidity.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

NATURAL WINES BY NATURE'S CALLING

Nature's Calling started in 2021 as a lockdown project by Louisa Müller, Nicolas Wenz and Sven Grolik, three friends who grew up in German wine country. At first they bought wines from growers they trust, including Hannes Bergdoll in the Pfalz. Then they opened their own urban winery IN Berlin of all places, in a 19th-century former spirits factory in Reinickendorf, and went from buying wines from winemakers to actually vinifying them themselves!

Bergdoll, now their cellar master, sends hand-picked Pfalz grapes to Berlin to be pressed, fermented in used oak barrels and bottled without additives. Expect pet nats, an orange and a Riesling. They also make alcohol-free sparkling ferments on a water kefir base, with quince, buckwheat and dandelion, which are some of the most interesting 0% bottles we know. The name? Ring the number on the label to hear the winemaker, or bees in the vineyard.
