Cuvee du Sud 2021

Cuvee du Sud 2021 is a natural wine crafted by Sylvere Trichard of Séléné, vinified in the Beaujolais region in France BUT with grapes sourced from Languedoc in the South of France, hence the name. This Negoce red wine is made with Syrah, Grenache and Carignan grapes, not found in Beaujolais.

Production details of Cuvee du Sud: Cuvee du Sud is a négoce red made by Sylvère Trichard and Elodie Bouvard at Séléné in Blacé, Beaujolais. The grapes (Syrah, Grenache and Carignan) come from Clos Massotte in the Languedoc but the wine is vinified in their Beaujolais cellar with the breezy Séléné touch. They work with lunar cycles in vineyard and cellar (Séléné is the Greek goddess of the moon).

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Cuvee du Sud by Séléné, but we hear it has notes of candied red fruit, dried herb, southern spice and a supple juicy texture.
