Camporenzo 2020 by Monte Dall´Ora is a 13% natural red wine made in Veneto, Italy with 50% Corvina, 20% Corvinone, 20% Rondinella, 10% Molinara grapes.

This wine ages for 10 months in 25-hl botti (wooden barrels made of Slovenian oak). After bottling, it ages for at least two years in the bottle before release.

Expect a full body and smooth velvety finish

Production Details: Camporenzo is a Valpolicella Superiore from a specific vineyard site. The blend of Corvina, Corvinone, Rondinella, and Oseleta reflects the terroir of the vineyard. Fermentation happens in stainless steel, followed by ageing in large wooden barrels. The wine spends sufficient time in wood to build complexity without losing freshness.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried the 2020 vintage of Valpolicella Superiore 'Camporenzo' by Monte Dall'Ora, but we hear it has notes of red cherry, earth, spice, herbs, and smooth tannin.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

Monte Dall Ora

NATURAL WINES BY MONTE DALL'ORA

Monte Dall'Ora is Carlo Venturini and Alessandra Zantedeschi, who started in 1995 at Castelrotto, in the heart of Valpolicella, rebuilding terraces that were in a very poor state. The vines grow on reddish limestone that stays soft and porous for the first 15 metres, so the roots go deep, and all are trained on the traditional pergola. Alongside Corvina, Corvinone and Rondinella they keep the almost forgotten Oseleta going.

The grapes are foot-trodden, and for Amarone they dry in the open air until at least January before three years in barrel. The range follows the classic Valpolicella ladder: Saseti is the everyday Classico, Camporenzo the Superiore from an east-facing vineyard on sand and clay, Saustò their Ripasso from 25 to 65-year-old vines, and Stropa their Amarone.
