Terremere is a natural wine crafted by La Combe Aux Reves, in the Ain region in France. This white wine is made with Chardonnay grapes.

Production details of Terremere: Terremere is made by Grégoire and Judicaëlle Perron at La Combe Aux Reves in Journans, a small village in the Bugey area near Bourg-en-Bresse. They settled here in 2010. The wine is 100% Chardonnay hand-harvested from old vines grown on jurassic limestone soils. Total production is around 6,000 bottles. No added sulphur.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Terremere by La Combe Aux Reves, but we hear it has notes of white stone fruit, chalky mineral, salinity and a stalky green edge.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.

LA COMBE AUX RÊVES

NATURAL WINES BY LA COMBE AUX RÊVES

La Combe aux Rêves, the valley of dreams, belongs to Grégoire Perron and Judicaëlle Cevasco. They settled in 2010 in Journans, a small village in the Ain near Bourg-en-Bresse, where the Revermont hills meet the Bugey on the edge of the Jura massif. Grégoire learnt the trade from several local growers before starting out. They farm about 2.5 hectares split into more than two dozen plots, some only a few rows long, including a parcel of very old Poulsard.

Alongside Poulsard they grow Chardonnay, Gamay, Pinot Noir, Mondeuse Noire, Gueuche Noir, Durif, Altesse, Jacquère and Savagnin. Reds often start with whole-bunch carbonic maceration, and the wines age in demi-muids and tanks, with some Chardonnay going into an old vin jaune cask. Nothing is added, sulphur included, and production is only around 6,000 bottles a year. From them we currently have Terremere, a Chardonnay.
