Frankovka 2023

Frankovka 2023 is a natural wine crafted by Bidule, in the Moravia region in Czech Republic. This red wine is made with Blaufrankisch grapes, which is called Frankovra in the Czech Republic, hence the name!

This Czech red wine is partly aged in barriques and bottled with minimal sulfur (10ppm), this is a playful take on the grape – juicy and fruity but with distinct light tannins.  WE ADORED THIS WINE, which has a juicy nose inviting you in, as well as an interesting herbal, earthy soil note with notes of sour cherry, thyme and cream. Really very special, and with depth, but no real tannic structure holding it back, keeping it playful. A perfect balance between the two!
