Chardonnay 2022

Chardonnay 2022 is a natural wine crafted by Andi Weigand, in the Franken region in Germany.

This very special Chardonnay was grown in plots located on a nature reserve that were allowed to be reclaimed by the Weigand family. Schist soils in this plot contribute greatly to the elegance and complexity present in this fabulous wine

The whole grapes of young vines were pressed with an old basket press and matured in small, used wooden barrels. This Chardonnay is aged for 9 months, then bottled without added sulphur and unfiltered.

coming in with elegant reduction, it quickly opens up to an almost oxidative aroma, spice and herbaceous touches, dried fruit and perennial cooked fruit come together in an opulent medley 

very delicious and cool wine!
