Production details of Perrontonic: Perrontonic is made by François Blanchard, fifth generation at Château du Perron in Lémeré, Touraine, Loire. After touring France as a jazz musician, François returned home for his first vintage in 2003. The Cabernet Franc here comes from young vines planted on clay, limestone and sand in Parc du Perron. The grapes ferment as whole bunches for three weeks, then the wine ages in cuve for a year. In the cellar François is openly creative, working with whatever vessels best suit the harvest.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Perrontonic by François Blanchard, but we hear it has notes of vibrant red fruit, earth, leafy spice and a savoury vegetal lift.
