Pinot Noir Hochegg 2023 is a natural wine crafted by Schnabel, in the Styria region in Austria. This red wine is made with Pinot Noir grapes, aged in old oak barrels and bottled without any added sulphites. Expect depth, energy and vibrancy here, as well as a sense of minerality and touch of spice from the Sausal soil that is special here, making this their most premium wine

Karl Schnabel and his wife Eva were so inspired by their time in Burgundy in the 90s (and their love for Pinot Noir) that they decided to focus mainly on red grape varieties Zweigelt, Blaufränkisch and Pinot Noir - even though the Styrian winemaking region in Austria is widely known for its mineral whites.

We hear this wine is juicy with a bright acidity and underlying salty minerality, with notes of blueberries, blackberries, strawberries and currants, as well as forest floor and a touch of spice.

We ship every Wednesday. Order by Tuesday 10am.
