Laissez Faire 2023 MAGNUM is a natural wine crafted by Christian Tschida, in the Burgenland region in Austria. This white wine is made with Riesling grapes, which is not so common in the region!

One of Christian Tschida's most iconic wines, which is a surprise for all that try it. We are yet to try this vintage, will do later today, but we hear it's slightly salty, smokey and armed with notes of juniper and green apple hits.

Winemaker Notes

Single vineyard, single barrel. Riesling from a picturesque steep site slope with a view on the whole world. With a high density of up to 9000 plants per hectare, in this vineyard at around 300m above sea level the vines root in brittle schist which slowly transforms into
hard limestone mixed with quartz towards the lower part of the vineyard. This particular formation of the soil, combined with an incredibly cool microclimate, creates a wine of high delicacy. Together with his friends, Christian works this precious soil carefully by horse. 

Grapes: 100% Riesling

Vineyard: Single vineyard in high density planting, Steep schist slope, with dense
limestone and quartz towards the bottom

Making of: Grapes are hand-harvested and gently pressed with the power of a
handshake. Fermentation and ageing in big barrel. Bottled unfined and unfiltered,
without added sulfur.
