Pinot Trilogie Rosé Sekt 2024

Pinot Trilogie Rose Sekt 2024 is a natural wine crafted by Raspini Winery, in the Baden region in Germany. This sparkling Sekt is made with a trio of Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir grapes, grown on Volcanic soils. The Kaiserstuhl is a small, low mountain range of hills rising out of the Upper Rhine Plain that was formed by a stratovolcano roughly 16 million years ago, of which the Raspini vines are grown.

Here in Pinot Trilogie Rosé Sekt, the Pinot Gris grapes are crushed and left on skins and stems for five days, creating a spontaneous pied de cuve for the whole cuvée. After gentle basket pressing, fermentation continues in old oak barrels, followed by a short ageing period and a second fermentation in bottle.

We have not yet tried this wine but hear it has notes of strawberries, raspberries and a touch of citrus.
