Two vintages of the same wine, which is not something we can usually offer with Georgian wine. Nanua Wines are in Imereti, in western Georgia, and we have their Otskhanuri Sapere from both 2019 and 2017.
Both are made entirely from Otskhanuri Sapere and both are fermented and aged in qvevri, the traditional clay amphora, with around fourteen days on the skins. Older vintages of Georgian natural wine rarely leave the country, so the tannins on these two have had the time they need to settle and integrate.
