Ploussard 2023

Ploussard 2023 is a natural wine crafted by Sylvain Jacquot of Caveau du Val de l'Amour in the Jura region in France. This red wine is made with Ploussard / Poulsard grapes, vinified in his winery in Cramans just north of Arbois, which is essentially his garage at the back of his house.

Its a very small operation, and he farms just 1.5-2 hectares so these wines are not easy to come by, and not too much sold outside the region.

Production details of Ploussard: Ploussard is made by Sylvain Jacquot at Caveau du Val de l'Amour, a tiny natural wine project in Cramans, 10km north of Arbois in the Jura. He works from a garage at the back of his house across roughly 2 hectares of heterogeneous plots within a 20km radius, planted with vines aged 40 to 100 years.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Ploussard by Caveau du Val de l'Amour, but we hear it has notes of crisp red cherry, redcurrant, light smoke and a touch of prune.
