DoReMi Wine 'Rkatsiteli Mtsvane 2023' is an incredible wine that blew us all away with it's complexity and drinkabilty, the age on it is just right for its tannic structure and balance. Expect huge bursts of both dried apricot AND fresh apricot alongside notes of cinnamon, vanilla and mint.

As for the winemaking, here there has been 6 months on skins in Qvevri Amphora.

With all Georgian wines, do not serve chilled, and allow to breathe for best results. These wines are stable and should hold a good few days once open, improving greatly with time.

DoReMi produces more than 10 different amber, white and red wines of different grape varieties from Kakheti, Kartli and Imereti.

The wines can be divided into two main characteristics: firstly, the Kathetian wines, in which fermentation and maturation in Qvevri are accompanied by 6 months of maceration as standard, which gives the wines a particularly clear expression of its body and energy.

On the other hand, the inland wines from Kartli and Imereti, which are more characterized by their delicacy and aromas of fruit and floral tones.

NATURAL WINES BY DOREMI

DoReMi was founded in 2012 by childhood friends Giorgi Tsirghvava and Mamuka Tsiklauri, whose families had always made wine at home. Their first bottles came out in 2014. They chose the name because it was catchy and easier to say than their own. The cellar is in Ozhio, west of Telavi in Kakheti, and they also work with grapes from Kartli and Imereti, so the range covers both eastern and western Georgia.

Fermentation is with wild yeasts, and the Kakhetian wines are made in qvevri, the clay vessels buried in the ground. The big ambers, Rkatsiteli, Mtsvane Amber and Tibaani, get around six months on their skins, for grip and weight. Kisi gets about six weeks, Mtsvane light just four days and the Saperavi about 20 days. Output is around 20,000 bottles a year. Give them air and serve them cool rather than fridge-cold.
