Basola Bianco 2023

Basola Bianco 2023 is a natural wine crafted by Etnella, in the Sicily region in Italy. This sparkling wine is made with Carricante, Trebbiano and Catarratto grapes, here made as a Pet Nat. It's crisp, refreshing and vibrant for a Sicilian sparkling!

Production details of Basola Bianco: Basola Bianco is a Pet Nat from Davide Bentivegna at Etnella, on Mount Etna in Sicily. The blend is 60% Catarratto, 30% Carricante and 10% Trebbiano. Wild ferment after direct pressing, with the fizz developing naturally through must from the following vintage being added (no added sugars or external yeasts). The wine ages 12 months in steel, then 6 months in bottle on its lees.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Basola Bianco by Etnella, but we hear it has notes of citrus, bread crust, ripe apple and a wildflower lift.
