Grande Pestilence 2023 is a natural wine crafted by La Sorga, in the Languedoc region in France. This vivacious red wine is made with Cinsault and Grenache grapes, which really captures your attention from the get go with an electric mouthfeel!
Terroir: Schist soils in Cabrerolles (Faugères appellation area), Vin de France.
Grape varieties: Cinsault (69 years old) 50%, Grenache (69 years old) 50%; yield: 18 hl/ha.
Vinification: Destemmed, maceration for 21 days; aged in sandstone jar for 9 months.
Aromatics: Very characteristic of Faugères — thyme, strawberry, rose, very intense; broad, peppery palate with fruit-driven expression and very long finish...
No added sulfur, no filtration, and nothing else either...
