Rouge 2020

Rouge 2020 by Max Sein Wein is a natural wine made in Baden with Pinot Meunier and Pinot Noir grapes.

Winemaker Max Baumann trained with Gut Oggau and Judith Beck, and is known to leave his wines with long elebage in old barrels and let rest in the bottle before releasing to the public.

Production details of Rouge: Rouge is a cuvée of 85% Pinot Meunier and 15% Pinot Noir from Max Baumann's Max Sein Wein in Dertingen, Baden, Germany. The grapes grow on shell limestone and yellow and red sandstone. Max ages his wines for 9 to 10 months in old barrels and a further 6 months in bottle. The wine sits at 12.5% alcohol.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Rouge by Max Sein Wein, but we hear it has notes of wild berry, sour cherry, soft plum and a light cedar touch.
