Le Soula Wine

Le Soula is a natural wine producer from the Languedoc region in France, setup by Gérard Gauby of the reknown Domaine Gauby. It now has Wendy Wilson as the head winemaker looking after 22 hectares of vines planted on Granite and Schist, which whilst natural are made in a slightly more refined, classic style. In addition to their Trigone house wines, they also make a tasty orange wine called La Macération du Soula.

The region is in the French Pyrenees, in a region called Fenouillèdes situated between Catalonia and the Languedoc with some higher altitiude positions. Most vines were planted 1977, with the oldest vines dating back to 1919 !
