Betty Bulles 2025

Betty Bulles 2025 is a natural wine crafted by Alice Bouvot of Domaine de L'Octavin, in the Jura region in France. This vibrant sparkling Pet Nat wine is made with Vermentino, Roussanne, Marsanne and Muscat grapes, which, like all the wines with gnomes on the label, she sources these ones from trusted growers further south, in Provence and Roussillon: 

Vermentino, Roussanne, and Marsanne from Claude Ughetto in Provence, and Muscat a Petits Grains from Vincent Lafarge in Roussillon.

Quiet and humble, she makes all her wines in her Jura cellar with no added sulphur. Betty Bulles is her vibrant Pet Nat. The 2025 is 80% Vermentino with the balance split between Roussanne, Marsanne, and Muscat.

Bright, aromatic and completely alive: the Vermentino gives tropical fruit and saline energy, the Marsanne and Roussanne bring body and floral richness, and the Muscat adds a flash of spice on the finish. 

Full of pineapple, white flowers, wet grass and lychee on the nose, this is really quite exotic! The palate delivers delicate bubbles and equal freshness with salty aspects,white peaches and vanilla. What a delight!!

Documentary on Domaine de l'Octavin

This was one of our earliest natural winemaker documentaries, shot mainly on iPhone. Visiting Alice Bouvot of Domaine de l'Octavin in Arbois, Jura again was a true pleasure. Alice is a gentle soul, thoughtful and somewhat spiritual. Couple this with her dedication to relentless hard work and pursuit of keeping her vineyards in the healthiest, happiest state and its no surprise Domaine de l'Octavin wines are highly sought after around the world.
