Neromaestri Lambrusco Emilia

Located in Emilia-Romagna, Quarticello mostly make affordable Lambrusco wines (using various Lambrusco grapes - there are multiple!) and some classic still reds.

Production details of Neromaestri Lambrusco: Neromaestri is a Lambrusco made by Roberto Maestri at Quarticello, who farms 5 hectares of vines just outside Parma in Emilia-Romagna. The blend is 70% Lambrusco Maestri and 30% Lambrusco Grasparossa. Wild ferment in tank, then bottled with a little must for the second fermentation in bottle. Bone-dry, made the traditional way in Emilia.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Neromaestri Lambrusco by Quarticello, but we hear it has notes of dark cherry, sappy black fruit, geranium, light earth and a fresh dry finish.
