Feminin by Bianka and Daniel Schmitt is a natural wine made in Rheinhessen with 100% Chardonnay grapes, which have spent 4 weeks macerating on the skins. Its got a light maceraton, not too deep. Small addition on sulphites on bottling.

Production details of Feminin: Feminin is 100% Chardonnay from Bianka and Daniel Schmitt in Rheinhessen, Germany. The grapes come from their Goldberg vineyard with limestone, loess, flint and clay soils at 170-250m altitude. Bianka is Hungarian, Daniel German, and they took over Daniel's family winery 13 years ago, growing from 12 to 26 hectares farmed using a lunar-calendar approach. The Chardonnay sees 4 weeks of light skin maceration, then ages in 600L used oak casks. Small sulphur addition at bottling.

Tasting Notes: We have not yet tried this vintage of Feminin by B.D Schmitt, but we hear it has notes of macadamia, peach, white flower, green apple and a creamy caramel edge.
